The Mill Casino Winemaker’s Dinner Welcomes Richard Alvord & Patricia Gustafson of Whistling Ridge VineyardEvents, Winemakers Dinner Comments Off
The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park will be hosting another Winemakers Dinner on Sunday, March 28, 2010. These dinners have become popular with locals and visitors alike because we traditionally feature a locally owned and operated winery and pair their best wines with our best dishes.
Our next Wine Makers dinner will team Richard Alvord & Patricia Gustafson, owners of Whistling Ridge Vineyard, with our Executive Chef, Dan Catanio. For $65 , diners will enjoy four courses, paired four vintages, in an intimate and delightful setting with the Winemakers and Chef.
Whistling Ridge Vineyard has been family owned and operated since 1989 and occupies eight acres in the northern Willamette Valley, near Newberg. What began as one block of Chardonnay 108 clones in 1989 has grown into 15+ acres of vines including Pinot Noir,
Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. For “experimentation and fun”, they also grow some Riesling, Muscat, Schonburger, Gewürztraminer,
and Pinot Blanc in
We recommend checking our their Wine Maker’s Notes before the dinner to get a better idea of what your palate will be in for. All of their wines are from the Ribbon Ridge AVA.
