Comedy Night - Chas Elstner with Rob Neville

March 29, 2017

Two Shows! 7 pm & 9 pm

Chas Elstner (left) has been a stand-up comic for over 24 years and has written, performed and produced two comedy albums “Is This Stuff Too Real For You?” and “A Man’s Home Is Her Castle.”  Chas’ extensive comedic background includes performing as a featured clown in the Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey Circus, studying at the renowned Second City in Chicago and being nominated as one of the college “Entertainers of the Year” after performing at over 200 colleges nationwide.  He has also performed as an actor in off-broadway productions

Some of Chas’ most outstanding accomplishments have been his numerous television appearances which include MTV’s ½ Hour Comedy Hour, VH-1’s Standup Spotlight, Entertainment Tonight, Showtime Comedy Club Allstars IV, Fox Television, national television debut on ABC,  four appearances on Evening @ the Improv, and The Best of Evening at the Improv, Volume 3 on DVD.

The Radio Riots

Shyle Ruder: Lead Vocals
Shyle began performing in musical theater at the age of 5. At 17 she began her career as a singer/songwriter. Most recently, Shyle was the lead singer of a longstanding Portland coverband, Saturday Night Orphans.
Dan Polidori: Lead Guitarist / Vocals
Dan has been performing in the local music scene for over 30 years. Most notably, he performed as the lead/rhythm guitar player in Bob Miller's Almost All Star Band, The Cat Jugglers, Global FM and The Saturday Night Orphans.
Steve Kuepker: Bass Guitar / Vocals
Steve is an accomplished musician and singer. He has played with a number of national recording artists and A-List cover bands in the Portland Metro area.
John Parman: Drums / Vocals
John is a long time fixture in the Portland music scene having played and sat in with many local acts. Currently John plays with the fun and edgy rock band, The Radio Riots, and Return Flight, a long standing local 11 piece funk band.

Charlie Wiener (left) has headlined comedy clubs across the United States and Canada for well over a quarter of a century. In that time he has appeared at Zanie's in Chicago, Nashville, St. Charles and Mount Vernon, Goodnight's in Raleigh, The Admiral Theater in Bremerton, Wa., The Improv, Catch a Rising Star in Reno, Providence, Princeton, NJ and Atlantic City, The Riviera and The Plaza in Las Vegas, Loonee's in Colorado Springs and Laff's in Tucson and Albequerque and the Looney Bins in OK, KS and AR.

Toyz

Since their first meeting in elementary school in Manchester, England, the four members of Toyz knew they were destined for Rock-N-Roll infamy. They first broke into the rock scene in 1991 with their debut album, "Toejam--Something Smells Like Little Feet." The band then released their latest album Llamapalooza Live 2007.

A past winner of the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition, Gabriel (left) has made television appearances on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, Nickelodeon's Nickmom Night Out, and the nationally syndicated Comedy.TV and Comics Unleashed.

He is also a frequent guest on the Bob and Tom radio show, heard in over 150 cities.

Gabriel has performed at the HBO/TBS Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, and the Great American Comedy Festival held in Johnny Carson's home town of Norfolk Nebraska.

The Koz

The Koz is a popular Northwest rock act specializing in accurately reproducing the big sound of the classic bands, which dominated the concert stages of the 80’s and 90’s.  With their vocal harmonies and instrumentation there are no limits to the music they are able to cover. The Koz covers many popular groups like: Night Ranger, Journey, Cars, Rush, Boston, Loverboy, Styx, Van Halen, Def Leppard, REO, Alan Parsons, Supertramp, Foreigner, Beatles, and many many more!

Comedy Night - Murray Valeriano with Chase Mayers

Murray Valeriano (left)  is a brilliant comedian, writer, and human sponge. This Tennessee native and preacher’s son found his comedy calling in sunny California and soon began a successful writing career.

Murray has toured the country performing in clubs and theaters, either headlining or opening for some of comedy’s heavy hitters, Kevin Pollack, Christopher Titus, Brad Garret and the late, Robert Schimmel. Murray has been seen on Comedy Central, NBC and FUELTV. You can hear him every Monday co-hosting “Off the Cuff” with Bill Engvall and Gary Brightwell on Sirius/XM channel 97.As an award winning writer, Murray has written for the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Bill Engvall’s Here’s Your Sign Awards and Ridiculousness to name a few.

Merrill

Warehouse 101 Live Music: 9 pm - 1 am

Merrill’s high energy rock presence have made them the perfect opening act for such bands as Maroon 5, Counting Crows, and Augustana. They were also asked to play the 2007 Bumbershoot Music Festival with Crowded House, Fergie, and Kings Of Leon, and received regional airplay for their song “The One Thing” from their first album “Evolutions.” The band has a licensing agreement with Fox Sports for the use of their song “Back 4 More” and donate their time by playing charity events for Boys and Girls Aid, The Red Cross, and The American Cancer Society, and various local charities.

Festival of Sail

Join us on Monday, July 3 at dusk for our annual Fireworks over the Bay! You won't want to miss the Oregon Coast's largest fireworks display. We'll light up the skies over the Coos Bay shoreline starting at approximately 10 pm.   Non-stop shuttle service will be available from the south end of Pony Village Mall from 7 pm to Midnight.

Fireworks will be simulcast on KDOCK 92.9 FM, concessions available with fun for the whole family!
