W101 Comedy Night with John Hilder and Erik Escobar
October 10 | 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Now on Weekends! Saturday, October 10 | 8 pm & 10 pm
John was born and raised in the comedic hotbed of Salt Lake City, Utah. Growing up VERY Mormon, John spent most of his time annoying friends, family, and teachers, through the years his love of entertaining people through comedy only grew, but sadly his love of being a Mormon in Utah did not, so in 2004 John left Utah and the Mormon Church for the neon pastures of lovely Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue a life of comedy and sin.
With his quirky personality, unparalleled originality and fearless attitude on stage, John quickly rose above the fray to become one of the most respected local comedians in the city. By seamlessly combining his small town innocence with a big city edge, John has become a favorite in some of the biggest casinos in Las Vegas, including the Palms, the Rio, Planet Hollywood, Bally’s, and the Mandalay Bay. John has toured comedy clubs, colleges, bars, and any other venue or event he could find with a microphone and a semi-attentive audience. In January 2010 John released his debut comedy album entitled “Johnsense,” which is currently available on iTunes and Amazon. Needless to say, it is taking the country by sarcastic storm.
Erik Escobar is a comic, writer, cheese enthusiast who performs regularly at clubs, colleges, and theatres all throughout the US independently, with the Almost Asian Comedy Tour, and along side acts such as Jerry Seinfeld and Rex Navarette. His credits include Last Comic Standing, BuzzFeed, and the upcoming documentary: Room Full of Spoons. He is currently a contributing writer for Chubstr and ring announcer for Fist Combat Wrestling. Erik resides in Los Angeles, California with his shih-tzu, Rancor.
