Need a little peace and unity in your life? Come see WAR in concert at The Mill Casino this fall.

When WAR was established in 1969, its mission was to spread a message of brotherhood and harmony. WAR has been evolving ever since, and its global popularity is a tribute to the timelessness of its music and message. With 12 Billboard Top 40 hits including “Slippin’ Into Darkness,” “All Day Music,” and “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” WAR is a staple for funk, soul and rock music around the world. The Mill Casino will host two performances by WAR on Saturday, Oct. 14. Show times are 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., and the doors open half an hour prior to each show. Tickets are now available in Ko-Kwel Gifts with prices of $30 for premium seating, and $25 for standard seating. Mill Club members will receive a $5 Mill Club discount.

Fall into Fun this October

The Mill is excited to host its 1st Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. At this festive event guests will enjoy authentic German food, great beers and two great bands!

German food will be served at four food stations where items may be purchased with “food bucks,” provided with your ticket purchase. Food prices will range from $1 food buck to $5 food bucks per item. The event menu includes the following stations:

  • Cheese & Cold Meats
  • Sausage & Sauerkraut
  • Chocolate & Apple Streusel
  • Spätzle & Potato Salad

(Spätzle is a soft egg noodle dish topped with fresh herbs and butter found in the cuisines of southern Germany. Like all of the food offerings at the 1st Annual Oktoberfest, it’s a delicious part of your meal!)

There will be up to 10 different German style beers served at the event. Guests may purchase a full pint or enjoy 2-ounce samples with the beer card provided with their ticket purchase. Guests may purchase additional beer cards during the event for $5.00 for five 2-ounce samples.

While eating and drinking, guests will enjoy authentic Oktoberfest music from two great bands: The Roseburg German Band and the Mirko Pressler Band! It’s going to be a genial, German good time.
