It’s time for the Mill-Luck Salmon Celebration!

This year’s Salmon Celebration is our 15th annual free public event that showcases native culture. September 8 – 9, 2018, guests can enjoy a traditional salmon bake, native drumming, dancers, canoe races, cultural booths and displays, hands on family activities, native arts & crafts vendors and more will be highlighted at this free family friendly event.

The traditional salmon bake meal will be served from 11 am-5 pm Saturday and 11am-4 pm Sunday.
Advanced tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for children under eleven.
Tickets are available in Ko-Kwel Gifts and include a commemorative Salmon Celebration tee shirt (while supplies last).

Guests may also purchase their meal at the meal tent. The price for the meal without the T-shirt is $17.00 for adults and $12.00 for children.

Traditional Fry Bread served with Huckleberry Jam and Butter
Mixed Green Salad with Cherry Tomatoes & Cranberries
Assorted Sodas & Freshly Brewed Coffee

The elders will also be on hand serving Fry Bread and Fry Bread Tacos!

As attendees savor their salmon, they may enjoy hands-on cultural demonstrations in The Mill Casino • Hotel & RV Park south dock area and south parking lot. At the dock, canoe races may be viewed from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 9, and canoes will be in the water for public rides and exhibition from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 10. Prizes and awards will be presented by the Coos Basin Salmon Derby Committee to derby winners at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.

This event is an action-packed educational opportunity for the whole family! Celebrate Coos Bay’s Native-American traditions.
